I have always known I would be a photographer. I won a competition when I was 9 and that was it! Oh sure I thought about becoming a marine biologist or a teacher. Oh, and who could forget the 5 minutes in 7th grade science when I was sure I would become a genetic scientist? But really, I always knew I would be a photographer.
So to ensure that I knew what the heck I was doing I knew I had to be educated. I took every photography class I could in high school. I then went on to college at Minnesota State University-Moorhead and majored in photojournalism. After I got my degree, I wanted even more education and I headed to a prominent photography school in Massachusetts called Hallmark Institute of Photography. Somehow I survived their intense 10-month program and am now back in my hometown of Fargo, ND. I opened up Katie Lewis Photography in 2006 and have been shooting weddings and portraits ever since!

A few weeks ago I met up with Madison and Jake for their wedding. There is so much love between these two and you could see it all over their faces. Everyone was so great that day and it was so much fun to be a part of their wedding day! Here are a few of my favs:
A few weeks ago I met up with Alie and Joel for their awesome wedding! We started our day with them getting ready at the Radisson and then headed to their wedding at the new Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead. It was a beautiful (hot!) day with A LOT of laughter! Alie and Joel, it was so great to be a part of your wedding day! Here are a few of my favs:
Alie LOVES Bon Jovi. Before the wedding, on the way to Trollwood, we all rocked out to Bon Jovi! It seemed to really calm her nerves!

Last weekend I met up with Amy and Jake for their wedding day. The day was supposed to be rainy but we ended up with a beautiful (and HOT) day. They had their reception under an amazing tent at the Red River Zoo, so the good weather was great! It was a beautiful day and I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of their day!
