When winter hits there are far fewer weddings than there are during the summer. Because of this, I have a lot of time on my hands to dream up new things for my business or shoot ideas. This past winter I started thinking up ideas for a bunch of styled shoots that I really wanted to do this summer. I really wanted to do wedding themed shoots to not only challenge my creativity, but I really hoped that it might give some brides and grooms out there ideas for their own weddings. I think it is so incredibly important for brides and grooms to make their wedding day special to who they are to a couple and use details to bring that out. My favorite weddings are ones where you walk into that ceremony site or reception site and say “WOW! This totally represents them!”. They didn’t just do what their friends or family have done in the past. They made their wedding their own. Anyway, this summer I have done 4 styled shoots and I’m really excited to share them with you! The first styled shoot was photographed at The Silver Moon Supper Club in downtown Fargo. I want to thank Monte Jones for allowing us to use the space for our shoot. My friend Lindsey and her boyfriend Matt were my models and Lindsey also helped with this and every shoot I’ve done. I really appreciate all of her help! For this shoot we wanted to do something a bit more extreme with really big dresses and extreme hair and make-up. I hope you like it and please, let me know what you think with a comment. More shoots to come in the next few days so check back!!
